SBS Bus Services
I work in ST Aerospace (opposite the Air Force School) and have to take bus 90 everyday. The problem with this service is that of all the fleet of bus, only a couple are air-con. The same goes for bus 94 which is the only other service that goes into the area. It makes me wonder if non-aircon buses services these areas due to the concession rates that the servicemen enjoyed...
Back to the problem of the non-aircon buses. Things get extremely unbearable when the non air-con buses are caught in the jam under the the evening sun. Or otherwise when it's raining very heavily and the windows have to be kept closed. Even the ventilation in the bue does nor help much. Even when times when there are no jams, some of the bus drivers will drive so slowly that even the Bangladesh workers could cycle along with the bus.
I have written to SBS Transit to suggest about spreading the non-aircon buses among other bus services. In this case, people who will have choices to give a non-aircon bus a miss and wait for the next bus. People will have choices rather than having to suffer in these non-aircon buses. But I guess they will not response to me unless I publish up in the papers for the public. Justification for the better service due to price hike?
